January Report 2018
On the 19th January 2018 our 15 Nenagh Neptune swimmers put Christmas behind them and headed into Limerick to compete at the first Gala of the year ‘Munster development Gala’ with their coach Uta Fietsch. Kate Phelan and Hannah Austin taking 2nd and 3rd in the 100m Individual Medley. Patrick Ryan and Anton Kruglyk took 1st and 2nd prize in the 100m IM also. Most of the swimmers achieved personnel best times which were a great start to the year ahead.

The following swimmers Sarah Quigley, Kate Phelan & Kate Ryan improved their times and now have moved from Level 1 to Level 2 swimmers as they hit their cut off times in different strokes.
19th -21st January 15 senior swimmers qualified to take part in the Annual Gerry Ryan Invitational Gala at UL Sports arena. It was a huge occasion for Anna Dybikowski, (9 yrs old) competing for the first time. She had two strong swims improving on her times in the 50 free & 50 fly. Well done to Christine Ryan who had a great day in the office improving on all her 5 swims (50 Fly, 100 back, 200back, 100 free, 50 back), picking up a silver medal for 200m backstroke and bronze for 50 back. Shane McAteer also had a great day knocking off 22.70secs over 400m freestyle. Well done to all.

Swimmer of the Month January
Well done to Adam Ryan who received swimmer of the month (January 2018). He Started swimming this September, training hard Monday Wednesday and Friday and loves it. Adams preferred stroke is butterfly. He also is a keen runner. Keep it up Adam.
